Spring is here, and the prairie dogs have come out from their long winter sleep.

I met with some of the Northern California jam session guys halfway between Flagstaff and Palo Alto this
weekend. Our meeting place was in the Mojave Desert near California City.
 
Since we were near the Desert Tortoise Preserve,
I have been referring to this meeting as
"Tortoise Preserves". Here are a couple of audio clips (in mp3 format) of what went on this Saturday.
